Jung S Kim is a photographic artist living and working in USA. In 2014, she has participated in “The 3rd Asian Women Photographer Showcase Obscura Festival 2014” in Penang, Malaysia and “Daegu Photo Biennale 2014” in Daegu, Korea. And also, Jung has been invited to attend The New York Times-Lens second annual New York Portfolio Review and her Circle II series was chosen for inclusion in “Photography NOW 2014” at The Center for Photography at Woodstock in NY. In 2013, she was awarded as one of “The 2013 Grand Prix Juror Award of Merit winners” Grand Prix de Découverte: International Fine Art Photography Award. Consecutively, her “Circle II” series was chosen for “Best of 2013”, “Hot Shot: New Photography Collection” on Saatchi Art and “PhotoNOLA 2013 Festival Finale Slideshow” in New Orleans. In 2012, Jung received an award from the AHL Foundation Visual Arts in NYC. Also her work has been shown Collateral Event of the 55th International Art Exhibition of the Venice Biennale in Italy. Elsewhere her work has exhibited nationally and internationally at Arles Photo Festival in
France, Kwangju Biennale, Seoul Metropolitan Museum, Daelim Museum in
Korea and HEREart Center, Coohaus Art, Elga Wimmer PCC, Dean Project in
NYC. Her collections are The Center for Photography at Woodstock in New York, FNAC (Fonds National d’Art Contemporian) in France, Luciano Benetton Collection in Italy, and Samtan Art Mine Museum, Daelim Museum in Korea.
